Office Hours are an initiative of the Rhode Island Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship designed to give RI-based entreprensurs guidance on issues related to starting or running a new venture in an accessible and informal setting.  Ideally suited for faculty, students and entrepreneurs in "knowledge economy" fields, such as life sciences, technology, design, engineering and the environment, Office Hous are offered on select Fridays from 2:45 to 5 p.m. and are staffed by seasoned mentors from the area's professional community.

Office Hours are free and offer advice in the following areas:
-Legal (business structure, IP, disclosures, etc.)
-Accounting &  Finance
-Market Research
-Marketing & Communications

Mentors may be limited by ethical and other considerations but will otherwise answer questions to the best of their abilities.  They will recomment further resources should an issue extend beyond their expertise or the scope of their consultation.

Office Hours are available in 45-minute slots, however appointments are recommented.  To arrange for yours, e-mail suelene_gallogly@brown.edu and state the issue(s) you hope to cover with your mentors.  Include information about your venture so they can review it before your meeting.  Do not include any proprietary information about your product or service in your e-mail.
