Your brand is essential and, when you own a business, it's your job to build it, protect it and represent it to your customers. Think of it as the personality that identifies your product or service and helps to set you apart. Trademarks protect the words, names and symbols that distinguish your goods and services and let people recognize their source. Even the look and feel of your product--its trade dress--is protectable. In this Workshop, Tom Engellenner and Peter Nils Baylor of Nutter McClennen & Fish, will review branding, trademarks and trade dress and why they are such valuable assets to your business. As a bonus, they'll also discuss domain squatting: that sneaky and mean intent to profit from someone else's name or trademark.
