Dr. Joseph Mundy
Division of Engineering, Brown University
Dr. Mundy is establishing a research effort in the area of video processing and analysis, emphasizing object recognition and modeling. Another research theme involves the development of architectures that are appropriate for nano-electronic devices. As the size of devices collapse to the atomic scale, new architectural principles must be evolved in order to cope with high device failure rates. Current research is focused upon random networks where correct logic states correspond to configurations of maximum probability, expressed as an energy minimization problem.
