Case Presentations:

This event will feature cutting-edge internet security and web-based advertising technologies. The CEOs of Activity Central Inc. and IAM Technology Inc. will give an overview of their business plans followed by an interactive discussion between a panel and the CEOs. The panel will evaluate their presentations and give feedback pertaining to their identified market, competitive position, funding strategy, intellectual property strategy, etc.

Activity Central, Inc.
Activity Central has a technology in the patent pipeline that combines human and machine intelligence to read and organize thousands of activities from the Web. For example, information on activities and events in New England is spread across 3,000 websites with over 100,000 listings. For the first time, computers can read websites automatically and understand the data. Activity Central can collect information dispersed throughout the web for all activities occurring in New England, and can compile it into a single, accessible repository. This new concept in content publishing boosts circulation and ad revenues enormously. Activity Central provides newspapers and magazines with a list of activities and events that is over 100 times more complete and up-to-date than any existing list. Presenter: Jon Monsarrat

IAM Technology Inc.
IAM Technology (IAM) has developed the next generation of digital identity and secure data assurance.  IAM’s security software and hardware are built upon technological advances initially developed for the United States Department of Defense, incorporating recently developed breakthroughs in mathematics and computation.  The technology provides the most efficient and compliant trust backbone for enterprise Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) implementations, storage networks and for the exchange of authenticated data.  IAM delivers revolutionary advances on the speed, efficiency and persistence (historic audit-ability) of data validation – developing a common trust infrastructure to validate disparate data objects including security assertions (such as those related to digital identities), digital signatures, and data in general.  The technology has immediate benefits in two very large markets: web services and federated identity. There are also diverse applications in other important niche markets.  IAM provides not simply the validation of data, but an assurance of non-repudiation and audit-ability for any historic time period; this allows organizations to be provably compliant to audit and other regulatory controls. Presenter: David Croston
